Our next meeting is on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. The meeting starts at 5:30 p. m. at the Polo Sierra LULAC Hall located at 100 Alice Street.
Dues for the coming 2026 year are upon us again. The amount remains at $15.00New members pay the $15.00 plus $6.00 initiation fee.Please mail payment to: LULAC Council 8003, P. O. Box 3021, Silver City, NM 88062
Hall was used a few times in December. We earned $435 in rental fees! That will help pay a few bills! Hall will be in use on January 14, 2026, by the Democratic Party. and again on February 11, 2026.
Oly Sturdevant has requested the use of the Hall for January 24, 2025. Mikki and WNMU Professor Tanya Rivers will present on our meeting on February 10, 2025. They will present on receiving the Southline Community Grant and they are also working hard on expanding thier ourteach to the community. We wish them well and look forward to their presentation. Anybody out there who wishes to be on the radio KURU representing our Council? Let me know. Got an email invitation some time back from Maree McHugh, Her show is on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to 11: a. m. Interview lasts from 30 to 50 minutes. We may have Aimee Jauriqui on as a guest to speak on the housing in Silver City. A project being set up the help senior citizens.
Vangie Montes asked about putting on a merchandise bingo when the weather gets better. Let me know your thoughts. That’s all for now! Let me know if I left anything out.
